...after doing a bunch of different things and still having issues with my right engine bogging after running for a while I took my boat to be looked at...basically the mechanic said the two engines are in GREAT shape...all cylinders were at 140 psi...fuel system looked good...carbs looked good...right engine starter will need to be replaced soon but he said that shouldn't be part of my problem. Then he pointed something out to me...he said the guy who I purchased the boat from drilled a hole about 1" in diameter in each of the air intake silence covers...could this be the problem? maybe this is causing water to get into the carbs? I have put sea-foam and sta-bil in the tank which helped a lot, then after a while the engine starts acting up...so I'm thinking, and this could be dumb thought, that the sea-foam removes the moisture from the carbs...but after riding around after a while and water spalshing around in the bilge area, more gets back into the carbs...basically my boat runs great from when I start my ride until about 10 mins in...am I being ridiculous with my thought? The mechanic is almost 99% sure it's water getting into the carbs based on what I have described to him...

Maybe.

Plug the air box, and go run. But... if you were getting water in though those holes... it would just cough, and pass the water, and run again. If water gets into the air box (a "Splash" amount) it's not like it's getting "In to" the carbs. It would just go down it's throat.

But, pouring a chemical down in the fuel tank won't solve problems... it will only help to prevent them. If you suspect water in your fuel tank... then it needs to be drained, and refilled. Second, I have never found seafoam to do anything.

If it was my boat, I would pressure test the fuel system to make sure there wasn't any leaks. A leak on the intake side will cause issues since the fuel has to be sucked into the carbs. If air is getting in... you will loose fuel pressure. Then... I would pull the carbs and go over them completely. (clean the jets, all the passages, and check the pop-off)
