96 xp, when installing battery we put the little black ground from the back box on the positive battery post instead of the negative. Now no power. I'll check the fuses but figure it shocked or fried the mpem. can anyone verify. I am sure this situation happened to someone. If so whats the fix - other than the obvious of replacing the mpem. Is there a diode I can replace in the mpem ?
thanks for any input

Sounds like fried MPEM. Usually it is a diode in it. You can search here for lots of posts and pictures. There is a member here who fixes them much cheaper than buying a new one. All Things Custom is his user name.

check ur fuses in the mpem i had someone do that to me i got lucky and it just burnt the fuse out, ski fires up just fine now also check the rear ebox too

its a ground wire for the rear electric box. looks like sd only grounded it directly to the battery for a year or maybe 2. the 97 does not have it.
