Slow when i steer to right, fast when i steer to left????

Ok, so I have had a few little issues with the boat, the latest one is this.

Going straight I can hit 40mph at 5000rpm max, turn right it goes down to 30-35 mph and about 4800 rpm, turn left rpm's go up to maybe 5300rpm and it goes 50mph+??

Could I have steering cable issues? Seems like an odd problem.

Sounds like the steering and throttle cable may be twisted around each other. Follow them as far as you can and see whats up.

I will check that out next weekend for sure.

I'll make sure with the boat off that at full throttle the throttle body is fully opening.

I will also do another compression test because it's weird that I'm only getting 40mph when it should be 50mph I think.

The motor sounds good, not even close to before I changed the plugs.

What RPM does your Utopia 185 reach when you're at max throttle/speed?

I'm looking through the manual getting ready for the weekend and I see that max rpm is 5650 where I am getting 5000 so I'm hoping it's a throttle cable adjustment.

the extra 650rpm I'm sure are a big reason I ain't getting 50mph anymore....just have to figure it out..fun lol
