Ski randomly shut off - no power - new battery

I have an 08 RXTX. Yesterday I had it out for the first this season and with a brand new battery and fresh fluids. The battery is an Advance Auto Parts replacement with the same part number as the OEM battery. The ski ran fine for about an hour then just completely shut off. It started out like this. I babied it for the first 10 minutes or so when we too it out, then took up to about 60 mph for around 10 minutes, then entered rough chop and was forced to do around 25 mph until it died. Lucky for us we were close to shore. It sucked dragging the thing for almost a mile along the shoreline to get it near a public ramp though.
Anyway, when I put in the key all the LCD display flashes for a moment as if it were running the normal startup cycle then everything is gone instantly. Sometimes it will stay on for a few seconds. Mostly when I remove then attach the key it does nothing at all, even with the learner key. It is all really random. When it does stay on for a few seconds I am not able to start the ski. It seems as soon as I do I lose all power, which is very coincidental. The battery leads are fine and corrosion free. I cleaned them today. Any ideas what could be causing this?
It is under extended warranty for a few more months.
Just FYI, I was told last year, by the dealership, if there is any electrical corrosion/issues they are not covered under warranty. For example corroded fuses.
Thanks in advance.

Please provide hrs.
If you do a forum search (logged in) for short ground, you may find an article here already about this.
If I remember right, a battery was changed and one small ground wire was left off.
The cheap batteries that are sold at the large auto stores such as autozone etc are not really that good. Rarely, batteries can have an internal short. A newer tech battery charger can detect this.
Sounds like bouncing around is shaking something loose. Something was disturbed around the battery area.

It has 42 hours on it. Yes, 42 hours on a 2008. It spent most of its life in storage. Thanks I will search for short ground.

I would check all of your electrical connections...not only your battery but all in the Ebox too.
I had a similar problem and I found a connection in the Ebox that was loose so sometimes it made connections and sometimes it didn't.....esp on a little chop or going over wakes.

I cleaned and double checked all grounds and connections, still nothing. I dropped it off at that shop today. Hopefully ext warranty covers it.

Ahhhhh! Basic troubleshooting ... what was your last maintenacne action? I'd take the battery out and get it tested. As the Aircraft Doc suggested, the new battery may be the problem. My next step (if the battery tested good) would be grab my multi-meter and check the charging voltage while the ski is running. Let us know what the shop says.

Ski just had maintenance accomplished prior to winterizing. I cant test the ski because it won't start with the new battery or the old one. I'll keep posted of what the shop says. It is something more than the battery. My guess is a bad wiring harness.

I have this exact ski with 12 hours on it. Mine was doing the exact same thing and it was the solenoid. Cheap and easy fix. One just snaps in and out of place.
