SKI module for GTX 260 Limited

Dear all,

The GTX 260 Limited comes by default with a "cruise control" functionality which seems quite nice. As I read the owner's manual, I could also read about the optional functionalities offered by the SKI module and I must admit that I am quite interested with this.

I am pretty sure that the unit I will find will not have that option fitted, so I would like to know if one of you knows the part number of the additional module required, how to install it and, of course the price for it. It would give me a comparison with the quote I will get from my local dealer.

I was browsing the internet for this, and the SKI module is indeed P/N 295100432 and described as SKI module in a list from BRP. There is another P/N 295100380 for SKI module, and I don't know what the differences are for the two.

The Ebay add, however, doesn't mention anything about the 260 and the fact that if this module is compatible with or includes the Cruise control or not. I have sent the seller a question about this.

I read somewhere, that, on the GTX 260 Ltd the SKI module could be a replacement of the Cruise control to add the SKI functionality while retaining the Cruise control one, I read that it was P/N 295100455. Once again, on the list I have, there are two P/N for this module the other one being 295100383.

It seems, by simply reading the part list, that the SKI option is an add-on to the cruise control, and not a replacement of the cruise module, otherwise this should be reflected in the part list. This is a shame that I could not find information yet about installation in order to assess this.

Nothing is sure, as on the part list I could find, There was one Cruise module but not a combined one... at least it wasn't clearly described as such.. there was a X-Pack, (two again) but the price was the same as the SKI module, which is half nearly, the price of the cruise module.

I discovered this after writing my post actually, I am still looking for information about where to buy it from, how to install it though... and if the two sets are for different models, for different years, different cabling ...

If anybody has any more information on this, please don't hesitate to enrich this thread.

To those interested,

I understood the following :

There are two SKI modules available for the GTX 260 limited, one for the 2010 model, which has the P/N 295100380, and another one which has the P/N 295100432 for the models 2011, 2012 and 2013. It seems the difference is only due to the wiring.

They are "plug and play" modules, no wires to add, nothing complex to do. Cost is about $140 and this can be found on eBay US, the link provided by smc0922 shows one of the two modules, for the 2011+

I initially was under the impression that the cruise control module of the GTX 260 Ltd had to be replaced by a module which would do SKI + CC, I was wrong, we only need to add the SKI module.

Thanks, I read them, and it seems that we reach the same conclusions, at least for the same machine as the GTX 260 already has the CC module as standard.
