Went to the lake yesterday, had a great time but.... after pulling up and taking a break the ski I was on would not go up to full throttle. If you pushed it in it would act as though it was being flooded out and die. The ski would idle great and run at about a 1/4 throttle. After a min or two of idling around you could then give it the gas and go. So I guess you can bet what I'll be doing, changing the fuel lines and cleaning the carb out. But I do have a question, how the frigg do you get at the carb with the black air box on top of it??? Do you pull it or have to play contortionist?

Thanks,

Kelly

If it's like my XP then you unclip the 6 latches on the airbox, remove the top and then start removing the 6 hex socket bolts to remove the rest of the airbox and then the base brackets - that leaves the carbs exposed and you can access the socket bolts to remove the carbs.

If it's like my GTX Limited with the 951 then it's a different story - you are meant to buy a special crescent wrench from Seadoo to remove the top plenum first but I found that I could just about access the 4 carb retaining socket bolts, drop the carb, then remove (actually just slacken) the plenum retaining bolt to remove the plenum and finish removing the carbs - possible and a lot easier the second time you do it.

Sounds like its set-up like your XP. Thanks for the help, I've been reading up on the forum and I think that I'm going to add a in-line filter as well.
