Shattered my starboard motor

Just when I get the boat running perfectly a hose nipple breaks, the motor runs dry on oil and then this.

Do you guys run oil in the gas for backup?
Do you only run oil in your gas?
Do you trust Seadoo systems to mix for you?

Any good lines on a running 720 engine?

Awe man, condolences. That had to hurt the ears as much as the eyes. Hope there were no other injuries?

I dont run oil in the gas as a backup. I generally trust the injection system. Mine works fine and I have changed the filters and I use the correct oil. I am guessing the previous owner took really good care of it.......That being said, threads like this always make me nervous. All it takes is a $3 nipple or hose clogged up to cause complete carnage. Makes me wanna upgrade to 4 stroke really.

Update.

Right before this happened we ran over something in the water. There was oil in the motor and we think the line that broke actually broke after the motor as part of the incident.

Still looking for a motor though.

Update: The hose was a symptom not the problem; it's just the vacuum line. The insurance company came today and looked at it and whatever dug up the hull also appears to have had some impact to the motor.

I found pine needles in the motor?? I have no pine trees??
