I'm new to this seadoo. I'm going to take xp to get service.they are charging me 300 $ is tha the avrege price.what is it that they do just change all the oils

They might add a Qt to the injection tank. If they have to also blink, thats a hunerd
more. If you read the Shop Manual, you'l be smarter than they are. You can come
here for free, and be treated nicer! Lotta great guys here to help ya out! Are they
also scheduling you for a "follow-up" visit?

No I just want to know what is the sevice .what do they do so I can tray and do it myself.I would like to know what do they do to the seadoo wen you take it to get service.like changing oils plug wires and what else

You would have to ask the dealer what they do... because there really isn't much to do on the older 2-stroke skis.

BUT... if things are running properly, and you just want a good once over........

1) change 2 spark plugs.

2) Change the oil filter.

3) change the oil in the jet pump.

4) inspect the oil lines for leaks or cracks.

5) clean and/or replace the fuel filter.

6) Grease the PTO.

AND, depending on the year...

7) grease the driveshaft bearing/seal pack (95 and older)

Thats about it.

You can do it yourself for about $15~$20 (depending if you need any new O-rings) And... even if you aren't a mechanical kind of guy... it should take less than 2 hours of easy labor.

Where is the oil filter located .I think I have everything down.96 xp.I want to service it myself I need to know just the basics so I can get started.

Also what do they mean with having a seasonal sirvice.I know that I might be asking 21 questions but I want to get the basics on this seadoo.

Seasonal service is a summarizing at the start of the season and winterizing at the end of it. Summarzing it basically consists of checking everything inside and de-winterizing it(pump out antifreeze in cooling system), checking plugs/hoses, hooking battery back up, and possibly changing out fuel(correct me if im wrong on this last point). Greasing the bearings in the trailer axel is a good idea as well as checking the tire pressure for the trailer. Winterizing basically putting antifreeze in cooling system, disconnecting battery, and stabilizing fuel. Keep in mind this is for my 2 stroke, so not all of these may apply if you have a different engine. I was just trying to give you a heads up on the season things service places will do. hope this helps
