anybody has good success on seat repair? it's only 1/4 inch. I don't want it to get bigger. I bought a permatex vinyl sealant/repair kit. any thoughts?

I tried that stuff, looked worse rather than better. That crap doesnt dry all the way, and ends up sticking to the piece used as a barrier between the heat gun they give you adn the repair mix. Best route on the cheap is colored duct tape. .02

I've used it on an old car when I was a kid. If you get the kit with the electric heating tool... it's OK. If you buy the one with the little metal plate that you use to transfer heat... it doesn't work well. (as said above)

Either way... I don't know how well it will take the abuse of boat use. Also... if it's a "Crack" and not a tear... it won't work at all since the base vinyl is hard.

Talk to they guy above... he can hook you up with a new cover.:hurray: (look at my avatar, that’s his handy work)
