M merrick New Member Mar 7, 2011 #1 i have problem with my xp i have just rebuilt the engine and i have removed the the oil pump so i now put in mixture however now when i put the key the engine doesnt start and i get one beep please help

Dr Honda Well-Known Member Mar 7, 2011 #2 One beep means it's not reading the key. Make sure you have the right lanyard, and clean the contacts on the post and lanyard. If it's been disconnected from power for a long time... the MPEM may have lost it's program, and the lanyard may need to be re programmed.
