I'm running premix
I use XPS synthetic oil - ratio 40:1
but to rotary valve I can use tc-w3 ?
because I have 3 gallons tc-w3
and I need to fill the tank

thank

It just needs lubrication so I think it would be okay.

Don't listen to me. Follow Dr Honda's advice.

El Toro is right, but you do know that the rotary valve doesn't use any oil it just recirculates, so personally I would use the specified oil, and just put in maybe 1/4 tank.

You can use the TC-W3 in your weed eater, chain saw, or give it away at the marina. I had some before I got my 4-stroke Mercury and they were glad to get the TC-W3 at my marina.

If you want to save some money your 97GTI is a 717 so you can use mineral or synthetic blend API-TC oil.

Nope... DO NOT USE TC-w3 OIL !!

1) TC-w3 oil can not support the HP levels of a typical Rotax engine.

2) TC-w3 oils do not have the proper additives to protect "Yellow Metals". AND, since you have a brass/bronze gear in the RV cavity... it's not good there either.

Don't get me wrong... TC-w3 isn't an instant death. So do what you want... but it will shorten the life.
