Hello seadoo experts!!
Now i have looking around The entire internet in my
Search for my little problem. Im from sweden so i hope
You understand what i meen.
So, here is my issues.
Last year my PWC was extremely hard to start. The start engine turn around for about 10 to 15 seconds before it
Starts. Sometimes it didnt start att all Wien The power in
The battery was empty.
So this year i have made some improvements.
I have a new ignition cool, new spark plugs,
New start engine and new powercables and groundcables.
The compression is 115 psi in both cylinders.
I have looked inside The carburetor and checked The needle and seat and The fuel filter and everything looks
Ok inside. I have also drain The fueltank and Search for
Water in The fuel but its ok also there.
I dont have any ideas left so now i ask You People. Do You
Have any thoughts?
BR Erik

The compression is too low. At 120 PSI it is time for work. It will often start out of the water at the 120 mark but will be hard or progressively get harder at the 120 mark in the water due tot he load of the impeller.

Also, if you have Grey Tempo fuel lines they will cause issues as well. Most blame the issue of the Grey Tempo lines on Ethonol, however, there are many reasons that the lines create the "green goo" and cause serious engine issues.

So, if you really have 115 psi, you need at the least a top end. And, if you have Grey Tempo lines, they need replaced, the fuel selector cleaned or replaced, and the carbs cleaned even if they have been done already.

115 compression may well be your problem.
Removing cylinder head will give you a look at the piston domes

^coastie beat me too it

ocod, I got stuck out of town and headed to Texas for the night... Will try to catch up to you when I am able to .. As always, if you can move it I fully understand, no hard feelings at all. I found out I will have to move as well, so this will add a bit to the mix.. LOL

Ok thank you for quick response response. I have now tested the compression with a digital compression gauge and it shows 111 psi on both cylinders. How could it be so exact values in both both? Could The piston rings be so exectly the same vorn on both? Or could it be The top gasket?

To confirm, you have used two different gauges and you are at 115 and lower, correct?

To be the same in both cylinders is s great thing. It means you have no big issue other than the engine is simply "worn" out.

Also to confirm, no Grey Tempo fuels lines, correct?
