seadoo cranks but doesnt start!

So i was riding my 96 seadoo gti and the water was very choppy. Ran good for about an hour until i hit a wave and the engine just completely shut off on me. I tried to turn it back on and it cranks over but shows the battery light and doesnt turn on. Its a brand new battery, and if its the battery then wouldnt it not crank over? I changed the oil filter and had plenty of gas, it could be something so simple and small but i need some opinions.

Check the basics. Make sure you have spark... and check the fuses.
