Hi I have a seadoo bombadier 2002 2 stroke and it is running, starts first time every time, but it doesn’t have all the power there, I have got it over 60mph before and now it won’t go over 40 does anybody have an idea what this problem might be?

Is it a direct injection DI ski?
XP, GTX, RX?

Typically this is caused by the carbs being dirty and starving the engine from fuel which will destroy it.

When were the carbs last rebuilt?

check your fuel filters>>>>
did you use NON ETHANOL gas???? this mistake can cause significant problems......
is it speed you lack and the engine seems to have power???? perhaps the pump/impellar/wear ring are suspect?

If your rpms go up to 7000, but the ski accelerates slowly, like a slipping clutch, then it's your wear ring (pump). If you can't get up to full RPM limit, then it's probably fuel delivery. Judging by the hear, you probably have the Direct Injected ski (DI). To test fuel delivery on a DI, you'll need to get a fuel pressure tester and test it when the ski is running wide open. Also, check that your voltage is between 12.5 and 14v.
