Hi everyone I have 2012 rxp x 260
Im trying to replace the timing chain without splitting the block
douse anyone out there know what type of chain seadoo uses and where I can get the joining link for it.
The OEM chain always comes complete I manage to break it open and remove old one
I can fit in the new chain but I need the link to join it back together
and help will be appreciated .

Use the OEM chain. Split the cases and do it properly. Do not use anything that uses a joining link. If you don't have the time to do it right, how will you find the time to do it over?

Good advice from Chester, it is a bit more job but by doing so you are sure all is good in the bottom part too.

Seadoo had a kit to do exactly what you are trying to do. It was for the recall on or around 2011 models with the bad chains. I only did a couple of them years ago and it was pain but it worked and the machines are still running. I've only seen a couple 2012 and newer chains fail, they are much improved over the bad run where they changed suppliers. See bulletin below...
