hi all i am new to pwc and have just brought a seadoo gsx it has a 787 engine,i have had it running but it keeps cutting out after about 30secs,if i put the key in i get 2 beeps then i can stat it by bridgeing the solonoid(the solonoid is faulty)it will run for about 25/30secs then the display go's blank and cuts out,any help will be apprecated thanks

Are you running it in the water or on trailer. Does it turn off completely were you have to remove key n put it back before you push start again. Or can you justcpush start after it dies.

hi brandon when it cuts out the display go's blank then i have to remove the key put it back in get two beeps the display lights up it will then start up and run for about 25/30secs again before cutting out again, this is being done out of the water on the trailer thanks boj

So it sounds like it needs a solenoid; I'm not sure if b/c you are jumping it and not using the start stop switch it isnt telling the MPEM the engine has started and the MPEM goes to sleep.

In other words Change the solenoid so you can start it with the button, then if it is still doing it I would guess its prob the DESS post.

remove the fuel return line from the carb and put a short clean line on the carb nipple and the other
end into a catch bottle, start engine and see if the returning to tank fuel stops just before the engine
stops. If it does, you need to address the fuel delivery system. Buy two cheap spark checkers with the
clear sight glass and see if the spark is quiting, causeing shut-down. If so, you may have a broken trigger
bracket in the Magnito houseing. You'd need to loosen front E-mount and wood block the engine to get
in there to check.
