Ive got a 97 XP, was doing great when I got it... Fresh rebuild and new transom(?) Fuel lines are not the grey Tempos, fuel filter has been cleaned and Oring is okay. It will start and kind of idle... its a little rough, but will drop dead within a minute or so, even if WOT. There appears to be air in the fuel lines, also. When the ski runs at all its bogged down and seems to have NO power... maybe hits like 20mph. Prolly less. It seems to be jumpy too... itll kind of like rev up and down at WOT... if I pull the choke while WOT and let go, itll get a sudden burst... then go back to no power. When I first put the key on itll produce one loud beep then start or sometimes do nothing at all... anyone?

Check your fuel line routeing. or a loose fuel line connection. and on the carbs too.

They all seem pretty good... I mean itll start and run... then die... no beep code... I push the START button 5 times or so and itll do the short then long beep... then nothing

Been getting water in rear E-box? wire connections in there might be bad. Pull the AMP connector on mpem and see if corroded.

i was having that issue today till i played with the mpem and got a good connection... it wouldn't even get on plane.. tinkered with the jets a little and got the mpem making a good connection it ran like a top after that till i rolled it a few times that the mpem got a little condensation dried it off ran like a top:)

All that appears to be in the rear ebox is the VTS motor (which is disconnected)
As a bonus, sometimes when I put the key in NOTHING happens, like the gauges dont move... nothing lights up... then itll work (gauges will move) but the start button will do nothing (moving the key on and off again will inconsistantly produce the "everythings alright" two beep thing) then sometimes itll start and bog down and then shut off (no matter the throttle position) Theres a clear little box on the top right of that black box in the nose that looks kinda shitty and corroded inside and is definatly miserable looking on the outside.
PS- If i remember correctly I had pretty much rolled it right before most of this started occuring... /:
