My exhaust bolts broke and after doing some research found it seems to be common. I will be replacing the rubber grommet although mine seems ok. Just wanted to ask do I use Allen bolts which came on it again or do I replace all with studs then nuts? Also do I stick with stainless or should I go with just regular zinc plated studs and nuts? Thanks

Stainless no doubt.

Exhausts can come loose. The best thing to do is rebuild it all with stock nuts, bolts and washers. Use studs where they were from the factory. Use some loctite on them and just for fun give them a little snugging down every once and a while just to make sure everything is staying tight through the season.

IF you are talking about the exhaust manifold to the mid-pipe you are correct in replacing the grommets. I am told loose grommets are the cause for the broken exhaust bolts. Make sure you tap the threaded hole so it will be easier to get that bolt in there. If you find any loose threads install a heli-coil.
You'll play hell getting a wrench on the outside bolt on top of the manifold if you use anything but an Allen Head Cap Screw. @AKnarrowback brings up a good point. Good idea to keep those bolts tight duriung the season. Always good advice here from experienced people. Good Luck !!
