Bought a used 2007 Sea Doo 230 and was told wrong how to flush. I turned on the water 1st, let it run for 2 min., then turned on the engine for 1 min. then turned off the engine, let the water run for another 30 seconds. Realized I'd screwed up and had the engines checked for water ingestion. The mechanic 1st looked in cylinder one on the starboard and said "yep" you got water. Then he looked in the other 2 cylinders and said "nope, I don't think you do" He said the second engine was "ok" w/no water ingestion. there is a flush kit installed & I did not pinch the hoses. Took the boat on a sea trial and he said all was fine. When we got back he checked the dipsticks for any "milky substance" which he said would indicate water in the engine.
How can I be sure there's no water in the engines & if there is a small amount, will it do damage & how long will it take. Do you know anyone local that knows how to work on these boats? I live in Englewood also. Thanks in advance, Swany!
