97 SPX. Hull got f'd up in a flood. He ended up finding it up in a tree. Steering nozzle got screwed. Everything engine wise works! He started it up and it fired right up! New stainless impeller.

$250!!!! Looking for a hull to transfer it to. May have a lead on a 96 XP. image.jpg

Yea lol he cut it open for ease of pulling.

Gotta love craigslist!!! And winter projects! May be getting that XP hull this weekend for $100. Waiting on pics but the dude claims its in great shape.

Ok, this brings me to my next question......which year, model and hulls fit the 787? I'd prefer a straight drop in but if they make some kind of kit or something to put the 787 in a 717 hull or something like that, I'd like to know those options too.

You have some options, Lou or some of the other site experts will most likely chime in but you have the gsx, both 96 and 97 (my favorite) xp's and others as well. You can find loads of clean hulls if you look around. Pick a good one!!

Yessiree!!! It's ALL there! I'm very excited about this! Need to find a hull. Turns out the dude who had the hull I was looking at actually has a 96 SPX and not an XP, so I guess I'll keep looking.

FREEEEEEEE!?!?!?!?!?! Son of a bitch!!!!!!!

I will say most people down here in TX think their skis are worth waaaaaaaaay more than they actually are. Every once in a while you can catch a deal though.
Yep, free. I thought I'd post that just in case someone near here is headed your way at some point, that would be a great way to save that hull and make it whole again with your parts ski.

I NEED to find something like this! I was hoping to find one that someone blew the motor on and just wanted it out of their yard. I do need to do a compression check on this motor before getting to excited though.

bummer that your so far away, I take at least 4-5 a year to the dump, so far this year I've sold an xp hull for $20, gave a way a speedster hull, and taken two gtx's, and a GSXL to the landfill.

I'm surprised in TX you can't dig up a decent hull with no engine/mpem pretty dam cheap. (like $100 tops) Maybe Jess comes across some that he took what he needed but aren't completely picked over.

Ouch! Wish I was closer too.

I'm sure I'll come across one eventually. I'll just keep checking CL, ebay and the like.

Cool, at $250 you can't go wrong, I love seeing these X4s restored.

Get in touch with Jess. I'm sure he has something

That's what I would do for sure. The westside powersports boys will have what you need to get on the water.

How long was this thing sitting in a flood? I'd wonder about water in the electronics and engine. I guess if it was up in a tree it probably dried somewhat.
