Oil question

Newbie here and prolly an old question but searching couldnt find my situation answered so here goes. I have a rebuilt SBT engine for my 98 GTI and the shop that installed it put yamalube in it and have run double oil (oil in gas) for 3 tanks and the last 2 tanks 100% gas. I would like to switch to rotax oil but afraid to mix it with the yamalube that is in there. Should i wait til it is almost empty to fill it with rotax or any harm in mixing it?

run it low, then put seadoo oil in

This is also coming from a newbie so maybe someone could back this information... If it were me, I would run it very low and then start double mixing the oil again (in the gas and through the oil pump) until it was extremely low... Then add the new oil. My 2 cents.
