RXP 260 clogged ports in exhaust cooling

Aside from taking it apart, you could try flushing it with Salt Terminator or a similar product. I don't know if this will get sand out. Also maybe try to flush it in reverse. I plan to install a strainer on my setup to hopefully avoid this.

Use the FLUSHING port on the back of the ski, that said, it does NOT cool the engine while running on the hose. So,, you should run it on the hose for one (1) minute or less at a time.

It goes,, (and this is VERY important), engine one, water on, water off, engine off.

This is the only way I know of to flush the system without tearing things apart...

actually, I just thought about it: if you have a physical obstruction in those 3 little holes that discharge to your waterbox, reverse flushing won't free that up. It is not going to pressurize from the back. The only way to do that would be pressurize your entire exhaust system. I would not recommend doing that. Removing it is probably going to be your best bet.

i may try back wash with exhaust pipe out of ski, willing to try salt terminator also, salt is eating paint off block and I have a sand trap on new install.

does vinegar help with salt?i am not going in salt, but motor has been in sea before I bought it.

Vinegar seems to help with anything that needs cleaned. Do NOT mix Vinegar with Baking Soda, or Bleach, or Hydrogen Peroxide. Can be an explosive result....

To be clear, don't mix it with any of the items I mentioned. As in singly.
