RXDI Gauges Turn on, But Don't Work

Hey Guys,
I've got a 2002 RXDI with 147 hours on the hull and about 30 hours on a completely rebuilt engine. The last few times I have taken it out I've noticed that my speedo is no longer working...as far as the digital gauge goes it turns on, but it always shows 0 mph (the analog speedo isnt working either). The spinnig wheel on the bottom of the hull for the speedo does turn freely. Also, when I scroll through the digital gauge to the tach, Ive noticed that the tach will sometimes work properly, but after a few hours of riding it zeros out. The hour meter and clock still work on the digital gauge though. I changed all the fuses but still no progress. Any ideas? Thanks.

Double check the pig tails still have good contacts on the wire bundles. after a few years the metal prongs tend to start rusting and flaking. Pay extra attention to the wire connections near the MPEP. Actually pull the plastic connectors off and look at the contacts. make sure their all in good shape and maybe even add some D_grease to the tips.

speed sensors fail all the time but the tach sounds like a bad connection.
