Threads...?

Does anyone have a how-to on how i go about changing the jet pump oil on my 03 rxdi?
Thanks!

Did you do any kind of search with the search engine?... There are only 10 gazillion threads about changing our oil.

You'll need to sit down and look at the back of the ski. You'll see 4-M8 bolts that hold your nozzle on. Remove the steering linkage, those 4 bolts and the nozzle assembly should pop right off. Be careful when seperating the nozzle because there are two "0" rings, part #35 that are for your bailer tubes. Don't loose them.

Now, you'll see the nose cone. There are 3 bolts that hold that cone on. Have something under it and take the bolts out. Once out, take a small piece of wood or preferrably, a rubber mallet. Tap on that cone gently from side to side. It's usually coated with a silicone gasket sealant to keep it from leaking. There is also an "0" ring seal on the cap. Once you do this and it pops off, the oil will drain. Make sure you lift the nose of the ski to drain all you can. The pump only holds about 3 ounces.

Now, clean everything up. Check the condition of the "0" ring and if it's o.k., get a little RTV silicone sealant and coat the nose cone around that "0" ring. Put it back on and tighten those bolts. Do not overtighten them cause you will damage the plastic of the cone's fastener area.

Once you have it all together, go to the auto parts store and look for a bottle of 75-90 weight gear oil. It's got to be a GL-5 grade oil. I personally use MOBIL synthetic gear oil. If your not sure, tell the guy at the counter you need a GL-5 grade gear oil. He'll hook you up...

Let the nose of the trailer down a little past level so you can make sure you get all the oil in. You won't be able to put it in fast cause it takes time for the oil to get into the pump via through the thrust washer and bearing. So, once you see it full in the allen head bolt fill plug (which should be facing up and off to the side a little), let it sit a few minutes and fill it again. Do this till it stays full. Then, put your little allen head plug back in. I use a little "t" tape on mine to make sure I get a good seal....

Thats it, put the nozzle back on and your done......

How bout use the search engine before making a thread. It'll be a lot faster for you to find your answer.
