RX DI Dies with throttle

Picked up an 01 RX DI last year for next to nothing in non running condition. Overall decent shape, only 39 hours but clearly sat outside uncovered for quite some time. New battery and plugs, sucked all of the old nasty fuel/water out of the tank, replaced the fuel filter and rebuilt the fuel pump. Pulled fuel rail and verified injectors are pulsing properly. Cleaned the RAVE valves and replaced the o rings, they move freely. Ski fires up instantly and seems like it will idle all day long, but when i hit the throttle it dies every time. Can get it to rev up now and then but most of the time it dies pretty much right away.

Hooked the ski up to BUDS, saw TPS was only reaching about 70% at full throttle,. performed the reset with no change. Not convinced that's my issue but ordered new sensors anyway. Checked over rest of the ski and realized its not charging, only seeing 12V to the battery at idle. Regulators seem to be a common issue, hoping its not the stator as that doesn't seem like a fun job at all. Have not had a chance to check AC output yet.

I know I'm all over the place but these DI's are a pain in the ass to diagnose. Doubting the TPS theory but could the charging issues be causing the ski to die like that? I know these are power hungry. If the regulator is the issue is it worth using the OEM 4tec regulator vs the OEM DI regulator? Starting to warm up here and would love to get this turd on the water.

New pump, new filter socks. 27 psi when lanyard is on the post, over 100psi cranking (gauge leaked a bit so couldn't get a 100% accurate reading) Fairly confident its not the pump, will probably use a different gauge to make 100% certain I have 107psi but I've had the pump in and out about 3 different times now

Can you use the gauge to monitor fuel pressure when you advance the throttle? If it holds, I would assume the fuel pump is not the issue.

Update: slapped a new OEM regulator in, she screams now. Should’ve used a 4tec regulator but didn’t want to spend the extra money unless I knew for certain it was going to be the fix. Now need to water test but seems like that was the issue all along. Got about $700 in this ski and the almost brand new Triton trailer it’s sitting on so I’m pretty damn happy!

Which regulator did you buy? I recently had an issue with a 2003 RX DI and it would not recognize the throttle position. When I pulled the key and reinstalled it worked great. I replaced the regulator with a spare I had. I always contemplate buying an aftermarket regulator and I'm curious if one of those would work well on a DI. I was going to suggest the regulator based on the suggestion I was given that fixed my DI. LOL Your fuel pressure reading was pretty darn good !! I gotta get a gauge set up for that or make one

I just went with the original regulator for the DI from seadoo, local dealer treats me right so the price difference wasn’t enough to gamble on an aftermarket one
