Rubber Grommetts

Hi, I have a pair of 2005 seadoo,gtx. Under the front lift hood when you lift hood there is a rubber grommett where the gas shock and wiring assembly go into the Hull. there is a second ruber pice which is mad to seal around gas shock and cable then insert into the larger expandable rubber grommett then has a tie strap around it, the small rubber pieces have come out of large grommett . Does anyone have a fast easy trick to getting the small pice back into the grommett with out removing all the parts ?
