Does not say anything in the manual and can't find any discussion on it. The 2 O rings in the metal seal carrier need any grease on them or not? I didn't put any on but I can back peddle and put some on there if need be.

You don't have a seal carrier in that ski.... but since it's "2 O-rings"... I'm going to assume that it's the stainless ring you are talking about??

If it is... you dont' need grease... but generally, you always lube O-rings before assembly. That way, you don't nick them while putting the parts together. BUT... if it's already on the drive shaft... don't worry about it.

If it's not together... wipe a little grease in it... then slide it on.

OK, thanks. I swear on the parts diagram for my gti it says seal carrier for that part. diagram , that why I called it that. Thanks for the correction.

your 95 has a carrier, and that's why I asked. Because... the carrier doesn't have O-rings in it. (it has regular seals) The 96 has a carbon seal.

But either way... it will be fine.
