Reving high

When riding my 95 Xp 720 it seems to be idling a little high.. When I take it out of the water to flush it or jump a wave it revs really high. Acting like it's leaning out. Anyone know the cause of this problem and the proper way of fixing it.. It started to happen after I installed my new starter motor. Please help

Can you just adjust the idle?

If it's not that simple... then the carbs need to come off, and they need attention. (Cleaning/rebuild) If you still have gray fuel lines... they need changed too.

Thanks dr Honda.. Appericate it.. Got one more question for being you know what ur talking about.. I just got a Ada racing head with domes for my 720 Xp.. Was wondering If I need a special Gasket kit for it... When I fix the carbs I'm Gonna have the new head installed and a new water box put it to..
