I have taken out all of my seats and cleaned up the boat. I've bought new seat covers from Keith/Seadooupholstery.com. So now I'm ready to recover and restore my boat. I'll probably take some detailed photos and make a tutorial for the recovering process.

Just in case you haven't ordered a pneumatic stapler for the project... I know that Keith has some links to buy it online, but I discovered that the Surebonder (that uses T50 staples) is available at your local Northern Tool - it's just not in the pneumatic tools area... it's near the hand staplers.

The Monel staples are available at Lowes, but the aren't cheap! $18/box.... good luck, the stuff I got from seadooupholstery was top notch!

I would like to redo mine this winter. Are you using the original foam orjust taking off the old covers??..
Very curious on how to do this. Has anyone else done this with success??

My foam and polystyrene need replacing in some areas. I bought some at an automotive trim shop where they have carpet, vinyl and foam. I'll do a "how to" with pics.

I just got done doing my 97 speedster with upholstery from Keith. I can, without a doubt, give my full recommendation for seadooupholstery.com. I ordered the upholstery and got it really quick. Also, when I opened the box and saw the strange color square piece I was confused and called and he was incredibly nice and let me know that was to cover a piece of upholstery that was usually shot in the spotter seat.

The whole project should;ve been done in one day but I spread it out over a few days.

Hint: Make sure you grab a ratchet wrench. Makes life so so so much easier for taking the bolts and nuts out when you are trying to find them blind.

We did ours last winter

boats4.jpgGot the covers from same guy, monel staples from lowes and darts from O`Reillys. The kid won`t appreciate this but heres a picture.
