removing the fuel sending unit

ive got a 93' xp, can the guage sending unit be removed with the fuel tank in the ski, or do you have to move the tank/take it out to remove the sending unit

nevermind, i just cut hte 4 hoses and it pulled out then i pulled the tank to clean it

i also fixed my sending unit,the magnet fell out of the foam which is inside the sending unit, i found it as the bottom of the tank, i epoxied the magnet back in melted the plastic cover at the end and now it works
