Hi- I'm in the process of rebuilding my 1995 xp motor. I split the case, put a reman crank in, and sealed it. At the time, I did not visually see or feel anything when spinning the rotary shaft so it seemed OK. Now 2nd guessing myself thinking it's been 25 years in that motor and do the right thing and replace it. I am reading on the forum that you can pull it without having to split the case.
So I removed the clip but seems like the shaft is really stuck.
I don't really want to split the case again if I don't have to. But I'm wondering if the brass rotary gear just slips out of the crank? or can the gear sometimes not disengage or get stuck.
Question is do I need to just continue to apply pressure and it will eventually pull out?
Thanks for your feedback.
