Hello all,
I've done a few searches and come up with little info on this.
Basically I need to remove the PTO and replace it. It this possible with the motor still in the ski? My understanding is you need to turn it counter clockwise to remove it? How do you hold the motor from turning however?
Last year the rubber stopper disintegrated and the driveshaft moved forward. The smaller amount of splines wore away. I asked if the PTO was "hardened" but got no response. I replaced the driveshaft and it seemed ok. However 10 minutes out on the water this past weekend and it spun again.
Thanks for any insight you guys can provide, this is on my 2000 GTI.
