Relocate RAVE Check Valve?

Is there any reason not to relocate the RAVE check valve on a 951 to a spot closer to the RAVE solenoid? Maybe make it easier to get to for future troubleshooting and/or replacement?

Also, any problem with using 1/4" fuel line from the crankcase to the check valve?

I have mine like 10 inches from the solenoid seems ok but then again idk because when I got the ski it didnt even have a check valve
