Rectifier/Regulator test for 94 SPX??

Hi all,

I have been searching for hours to find the ohm test on a regulator/rectifier for a 94 SPX with a 657 engine. I found the test for the 757 which has 3 yellow wires, but can't find anything for the older 2 wire regulator (yellow, and yellow w/ black).

Background on this project:
New battery.
Not charging - Voltage test shows no change as rpm increases (just reads battery voltage)
Charge coil ohm test is between .05-.06 ohms as the manual states.

Now I would like to test the regulator before dropping $70 on a new one.

There really isn't a test for the regulator. All you can do is to check the MAG coils... and if they are good... then the regulator is bad.

your charging coil should be 0.05 to 0.6 Ohm's.
