On the 4th of July :patriot: I had the misfortune of having my starter relay solenoid go out on my 96 Seadoo SP while out on the Snake River... :banghead: After diagnosing it down to the relay, I pulled it after testing with an ohm meter. I looked online and called around to the dealers, and they run $39 to $50. I figured there isn't much to them, so I drilled out the rivets, and opened it up. After taking it all apart, it was apparent from all tapping contacts over the years, that the contact points were dirty, and weren't making a clean contact. After a thorough cleaning of the contact points, reassembling it back together, resoldering two small wires back in place, and 4 small screws to replace the rivets, I reinstalled it. With my fingers crossed, I hit the button, and she fired up...:hurray:
Just thought I would pass this on to the forum... This place has such a vast amount of knowledge, I thank you for your expertise and wisdom.
