How do you know if a RAVE Valve should be replace?

when its chipped or broken.

they are easy to take out. the spring tries to jump when you undo the clasp.

just go slow and let the cap up slowly when you're releasing so the pressure on the spring is not still tight by the time you take the cap off. its pretty straight forward, but be careful not to stretch the spring that holds the bellow to much, you'll lose tension and will develop an oil leak
