Hey all, I finally have my problem figured out. I initially diagnosed this as a misfire. My rave solenoid works fine with my candoo system but I still tried a new one just in case with the same results.

Ski runs like a bat out of hell from 5500- 6800, pulls strong with no bog.

When i take off from a dead stop for the first run of the day it pulls strong, but when the rave solenoid is supposed to shift back to release air and close the rave valves it physically doesn't. I can pull the electrical connector off and it still doesn't. i checked the air pressure coming from the compressor to the solenoid and it is 90 psi. if i release some air from this side the solenoid will shift and raves will close and power is restored.

is there something that is supposed to restrict pressure to the rave solenoid coming out of the compressor? if i put a little pinhole in the tube supplying the solenoid it works ok but because of the leak the ski wants to stall at idle.

I bought this as fully working with a rebuilt engine.....Im about to put a stick of dynamite in the gas tank for the 4th....been working on this for like 3 weeks. think this is it.

The rebuild guy put a new fuel pump in as well. this is the one used:

Thanks for any help you can give.

Turns out it was the valve so 90 psi is proper at the Rave solenoid valve. I tried another Turbo pilot solenoid but I guess seadoo's return spring is stronger on the one they specify/use compared to the aftermarket I bought.
