So does the o rings on the rave valve do anthing other than not let the valve bottom out on the housing.? It just kinda floats there no specific grove I can see.....

Is there anywhere you can purchase the rave oring alone??? I know they are not regular orings. I think they are viton o rings...

I also like to use O-rings in place of the old springs to keep the bellows nice and tight on top and bottom. I would make sure they are oil and heat resistant. I don't see why this is not a great idea but I have not personally racked up high hours on them yet. The old springs will sometimes rot and give(stainless is only mostly stainless) and a small zip tie with the head melted down from a soldering iron does not quite seem like an equal solution.

Yup, trying to take a little heat off Racer. That's me in back with an arm up and my little brother in front. That was from the meet and greet, not sure who snapped it.

The o ring is to keep the gases from passing through to the top of the housing i believe. Yeah, they aint cheap. I think about 5.99 at my dealer PER PIECE. This thread reminded me I needed two for my new 97 XP. I actually found some on ebay, 10 of them for 15 dollars plus free shipping! I woulda paid that for 2 of them + tax + gas expense just to go to my stealership.
