Looking straight down from left side with ski pointed to your left for info purposes.
Undo choke cable.
Undo top clip for airbox.
Pull airbox off carbs
Remove front/left flappy rubber ear from airbox (the one that goes to the bolted on airbox end pieces) This is the key to easy removal!!!
Spray oil/grease on inside (facing towards carbs) middle of airbox where it will rub on the lower airbox snap in mount on motor.
Remove battery (for those with rear batteries)
Spray grease on inside part of left rear motor mount where airbox will rub.
Pull airbox rearwards towards pump wiggling as you go to make it fit (yes its tight)
It should pull right out (loosen anything that gets in the way (wires, cables hoses).
Its about a 5 minute job done this way.
