Maybe not a simple answer though ;)

Can a 1995 twin engine speedster be fitted with 1996 or later engines?
Can they be made to bolt in or are significant modifications necessary?
What electronics changes come with this engine change?
I would be willing to replace engines and pumps/shafts if necessary.

Thanks,

Kevin

So moving from the 650cc's to something a little larger but still rated for 85hp would be a challenge?

I thought that the 85hp 650cc motors were a bit more problematic and was thinking of going to 717cc?? based 85hp motors. Not sure if that is how Seadoo went but most of the boats I have seen post 95 do not have 650cc motors, but are still rated at 85hp.

So maybe I didn't ask my question properly. Is there a more modern 85hp engine that would be a direct bolt on replacement for the 650's that were in the 1995 boats? Or could I up the hp to different engines that would be bolt in replacements?

Also, what kind of cost is associated for said motors? I can do all the labor just need the parts?

Thanks for the info!

Kevin
