Question about spark plugs

Took my ski out for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It started right up and idled fine but just didn't have any power. It would respond to the throttle, just very slowly. It had practically zero acceleration. Took it home and realized I had the plugs gapped to .045 in instead of .021. Regapped them and I haven't had a chance to take it out since. Would the overgapped plugs cause the ski to have no power? We are going on vacaton next week and are planning on taking the ski. I just hope it has a lot more power.

I had the ski checked out by a dealership before I bought it and it checked out great. Thanks guys.

possibly but probubly not could be a lot of differnt issues if you were turning a lot of RPMs and not going anyware then you could have impeller and or wearing issues in the pump if you were bogging it could be lack ar gas, spark, or compression

I just didn't have the RPMS. It would start fine everytime and idle fine, compression is 160 and 165. It just didn't seem like it could burn the fuel fast enough. Punch the throttle and you just don't get the snap. I am pretty sure it was a spark plug issue but just seeing if there is anything else I could check in the next couple of days.
