question about 98 Seadoo GTI - 2 holes on front of ski

Hello Everyone:

I just bought a 98 Seadoo GTI and I noticed 2 holes under the bumper on the front right side. One looks like it goes into the fuel line and the other is a hose that runs to the back of the ski but is not connected to anything. This may be a silly question, (sorry this is my first jet ski) but what are these two holes for and is that hose supposed to be loose?

It's probably the battery vent hose, if you have a sealed battery you won't use it.
