I just bought a 1991 SeaDoo Bombardier GTX. The guy who sold me it showed me clamps on the oil lines. He said i have to take them off to run the ski, then when i shut it off, i have to replace the clamps or Oil will overflow into the compartment. I'm thinking that, someone replaced the hoses and did not replace the filter(because i did not see one). Could that be the cause or is it something else? all help is welcomed, thanks. New to PWC's.

Nope, never heard of doing that. I would check for oil leaks, and on and ski that old, I would go ahead and drain the oil, replace and bleed the oil lines. There is an oil filter, follow the main oil line about 6"-8" from the tank, if there is not one there go ahead and add one when you replace the oil lines. You can use quality zip ties for cable clamps.
When you replace the oil use API-TC, mineral oil or synthetic blend. I use Quicksilver PWC, synthetic blend in my GTI.
You can pinch off the main oil line during winterization, but even that is not mandatory.

Sorry, it's a 1991 GT. So you believe it is probably the Center seals, ok thanks. I havent even run it yet, got it real cheap and like i said, the guy told me that it runs fine, just when i shut it off i'd have to clamp it or oil will pour into the hull. Both lines from the oil tank go straight into the motor, no oil filter. So if the oil is filling the motor where is it coming out of? Thanks for the help.
You are confussing us as to where the oil is actuall going. Do you see any oil in the hull?
If there is oil in the crankcase, its coming out the exhaust, you should see a lot of smoke when you start the motor. If there is oil in the hull you will see it in the lowest place, under the engine, toward the stern (back) of the SeaDoo.

Which line is flowing oil (maybe gas?)into the hull? Or are you meaning lower case? Tony addressed that, a new crank is the fix.

I'm sorry, the guy that sold it to me said it was leaking into the hull and there is some oil there from the last time he didn't clamp the hoses. In his reply, Dr honda said if the hoses don't get clamped the oil will fill the crankcase. I will check the clamps and hoses(hoping one is were it's leaking from), but if thats the case, wouldnt that keep the motor getting the all the oil even when running? Thanks
With this new info, My best guess is the two small 3/32"id oil lines from the oil injection pump to the Rotary Valve covers cylinder oil injection spigots have deteriorated and the oil in not getting into the motor, its going into the hull, and the crank seals could be bad also, leading us to think the motor is being deprived of lubrication. This addresses both circumstances. You have TWO oil supply lines, one to injection, other to the lower case gear cavity. The injection pump filtered oil line uses up the oil it receives, the gear cavity circulates that oil back into top of the oil tank and continuously is circulated oil.

Ok, i apologize for some of my errors in explaining, but All of your help is great and enjoyable to discuss. I've never looked inside a jet ski until 2 days ago.
Now, i've checked the motor, and the diagram. The two lines that i have to clamp off are as follows, one comes from the bottom of the oil tank and goes into the bottom of the Block, the other comes from the top of the oil tank into the top side of the block.(Basically the two larger oil hoses are getting clamped when the ski is shut off to prevent an oil leak) I havent seen this leak yet myself, just going on what i was told. Thanks alot guys.
