Hello everyone,
I have a 2005 GTI RFI with oil at the right rear of engine, no noticable oil on left side. Oil seems is on the right rear engine mount and sprayed on the crossmember. Is this usually a common area if the PTO seal is leaking? PTO/driveline cover is on so im unsure how oil could get around the cover as a spray. There is also a oil line on the right side of the uppercase under the rear cylinder, oil is accumulated the as well. approx 2 table spoons after running on water for 30 min. Unsure if this is for the rave valve or pto lubrication. What is the easiest way to determine where the leak is from without pulling engine. Also can installing an engine without using the alignment tool cause the PTO seal to leak? Motor has approx 15 hours on it and no noticable leaks before
Thanks in advance, Robert
