I keep my boat in the garage when I am not out on it. So I really never had a need for a cover. a lot of the lakes I goto are like 3 to 4 hours away though. I am always afraid of one of the seat cushions flying out, and I dont feel like going through the hassle and high price to replace them. Soooo I decided I needed to buy a new cover. My boat came with the OEM Sea Doo cover, but it is a total POS. I used it twice and both times it came undone. The last time it started flapping and ripped huge holes where it goes around the rear cleats.

Of course the only option is Poppy. So many people here recommend them. So I contacted Terry, and as usual, she is awesome. I highly recommend her and Poppy covers. It came the next day. I put it on yesterday and then drove 200 miles with it. It never moved at all and stayed perfect at 70 mph. This thing is very high quality.

How does that cover stay on ? Is it bungee cords or ratchet type ? Im interested in getting one for my Doo.... The original green cover blows off pretty easy in a stiff wind. I dont think I'll have any chance at all if I try to go hiway sppeds with it on.

To start with, it fits perfect. Then it has a nice racheting strap that pulls it tight. The oem cover had the type strap where you pull it tight, but it didnt stay tight. This cover is the bomb!!! Very high quality. I cant stress that enough.

Mine's about 3 years old... and I can't say anything bad about it.

My boat stays in the garage all winter... but it's outside during the summer. SO... my cover has seen 3 summers of sun!!

I agree. I ordered my cover after picking up the boat from being winterized. I selected priority shipping and Terry only charged me for ground shipping and sent me change with the cover! I was blown away! She said ground was just as fast.

I am very pleased with the cover and I have had zero issues with it. I love the custom poles to keep water out.

yeah Poppy is the way to go !!

I like my Poppy so much I let them use my Speedster on their website. Very helpful customer service there too...!

Towed 4500 miles

I just towed my 2009 Speedster 150 4500 miles with a Poppy cover in place, and contrary to advice, kept the anti-pooling pole also in place the whole trip because it rained several nights at motels and you do not want water to pool on that cover !

At the end of the trip, I had
- NO damage to gel coat
- NO damage to cover
- NO need to tighten cover enroute
- NO water leakage

As a precaution I laid a very large beach towel over the seatbacks and rear deck just in case there would be abrasion.

Kudos to Terry Poppy !
