Pop Rivet gun for plastic hinges?

Can I just use one from the hardware store or do I need a special gun?

Just bought new plastic hinges and the rivets. Got a week to figure it out.

I know someone on here has done this. I posted a question a couple months back and a couple guys suggested this route.

Help me out here, please...

Scooper, if the rivets came with the hinges they should have the correct breaking point for the glass and plastic.
I replaced my plastic hinges with stainless steal, so have not done it with plastic before, but had no problem with the stainless and a standard rivet gun!:cheers:

Thanks for the feedback. I just wasn't sure if the local hardware store gun would work.

I bought the plastic hinges, rivets, and washers from Riva as all Seadoo parts, so it should all work together. I just needed to know what gun to buy.

yes a regular rivot gun will work. i also bought hinges and rivots from riva and used the rivot gun i had. no problems.

Cool. I was afraid I might need to buy something special to use on these rivets.
