Pop off.

I wouldn't say "necessary", but probably a good idea.

Technically after a rebuild, as long as you put in a new needle, seat, and spring (stock ones), and nothing else changed on the ski, you should be okay. In other words if you changed the fuel requirements of the ski somehow (flame arrester, etc.), you will need to check/change the pop off.

i did change the spring but they were the same size,

Need to install the original ones, from the carb, dont use the ones from the kit. Yeah, maybe same size, but the "thickness", amount of windings..etc, are different. They gaged by "grams", so your pop-off psi is all jacked up. Reinstall oem ones, and you'll be good.

the "stock" ones, you'll receive, will be the "black" springs, which you should have in your kit, but still, wont be right. Your gonna need to install those, then "play" with the position of the "tang", to get the carb/s to work correctly.

I'll re-post the pop-off psi, gove me a minute.

black spring

yup, install the balck spring, and go from there....psi is 23-43, so, with your stock "seat" with black spring, should be in/around 38psi, may need to bend the "tang" flush with jets' cover plate.

carbthe

The once I got in the kit were black .the paper that comes with the kit says they are 130 gr .he'll wath can I do.next time I do something I'm going to do my research

highest gram spring i know of, is the "gold" ones, that measure 115gram. The "black" ones, measure 80gram.
