okay so heres the story... i was just out riding and was on my way to meet up with a couple guys for a ride.. water was mint i was at full RPMs for the first time i can say i was at 8000 for about a good 30 seconds before i let off of it.. a few minutes later i was cruising around 6800 when all of a sudden.. the ski slows down a little bit it sounded like it was going to stall but never did and i really can hear the supercharger quite loud from the front of the ski where the kanaflex is... it was whining almost as if i had like an et wheel in the ski (i would guess thats the best i can describe it).. and the rpms wont get over 6300 ish...

first i thought the worst.. i ran back to the dock with this thing around 3000rpms.. pulled the intake off the supercharger and it WONT spin.. counter clock wise its really tight.. clockwise its a tiny bit looser, yet still tight... the wheel its self seams a little bit loose (up and down movement)

the supercharger was rebuilt TEN hours ago by jerry.

id assume if the supercharger is fine then it would have to be maybe a boost leak??

can anyone please point me in some sort of direction?? thank you !

Never mind disaster avoided... Hose from the supercharger to the throttle body blew off.. These hose clamps I bought are corroding so fast.. They were new stainless ones from Home Depot

They don't sound fun when they pop off
:o

Glad it was a simple fix.

Thanks.. I was too nervous so I jumped the gun a little bit without fully inspecting it haha

First it scared the heck out of me... then It sounded really good man.. If only the power was there haha it made me feel like it was a worked ski haha... More motivation for an et 127 wheel lol

Hey Matty-

I ALWAYS enjoy a 'sigh of relief' story. Good for you.

The non factory replacement hose clamps seem to give some of us unwanted adrenal surges. Anyone have preventative recomendations for clamps/install techniques they have come accross ?

Thanks man... If you've followed me from years back I had two seadoos sink on me out of the two seadoos I owned do I was pretty freaked out for a good 30 seconds or so thinking if the water was cold enough or not haha..

I've since upgraded to the t-bolt clamps (like the clamp that holds the j-pipe on)... A buddy of mine suggested them but I have no experience with them to comment yet.

X2 on those. Better than worm ones....
You can find them at most auto performance shops/engine tuners that work on turbo cars.
