I'm sure it is on here somewhere but I can't seem to find it. I need to find out how to check the pump oil?;Where it is is located ?; and If I need to change it how do I drain it?

Please direct me to a post that explains this, I tried the search but too much stuff came up and I couldn't find what I was looking for.

Thanks
Randy

if is a 97 C1800 is a dual motor.

To check pump oil. If i remember correctly.

Disconnect steering cable.
Disconnect shift cable.
Unbolt the reverse gate on both pumps and take it out at the same time.
Remove the plug on the cone and check oil with a wire.
If oil looks whitish then there is water in there and youll have to rebuild the the pump.
Oil should be just at the bottom of the hole threads.
Dont forget to use Loctite 592 on the plug.
Careful not to strip the threads on the cone as they are plastic.

Cant think of anything else.
