When replacing the carbon seal and the ss ring do the Orings under the ss ring need to be in a groove of the shaft grooves? If I use the last groove for the stopper oring then the boot sits at 60mm and the middle one it sits at 70 inches. I didn't look when I took it off so I'm not sure where it was but I'm confused if any of the ss oring need to be in the grooves or if I can use the last groove or the stopper
Thanks

No... the o-rings need to be sitting on smooth section of the D-shaft. Does your D-shaft have 3 grooves? You will probably need to be in the rear most groove.
